A March 25, 2025 DHS notice terminated the CHNV parole programs and cut short the two-year parole of approximately 532,000 people who had entered legally with US sponsors, ending their status and work authorization en masse on April 24, 2025. A district court blocked the mass revocation, but the Supreme Court stayed that order on May 30, 2025, allowing the terminations while litigation continued. Former parolees without another status became immediately deportable, and DHS prioritized them for removal.
