Impact 5/10

Bans puberty blockers, hormone therapy, and surgery for minors and restricts care for adults, including requiring that only physicians, not nurse practitioners, provide treatment. Signed May 17, 2023. A federal judge struck down key provisions as unconstitutional in Doe v. Ladapo in June 2024, but the Eleventh Circuit stayed that ruling in August 2024, so the law is in effect while the state's appeal is pending.
